About Erin Kuhlman

During my assistantship program at UCCS, I worked closely with the

agriculture sector to fully understand the supply chains in our food

systems. My work included farmer’s market education with seasonal

foods, nutrition events on campus, farm production, research in inner

city food deserts, and starting grant-funded projects. I also worked

with college and Olympic athletes in varying capacities during my

tenure. During my studies, I competed in triathlon racing for 5 years

in various states.

After moving to Cortez, CO, I worked for the Montezuma School to Farm

Project, and partnered with a local nutritionist, Cooley LLC, for 2

years to develop nutrition plans, recipes, and educational documents.

I also love exploring nature's playground as much as I can. My first

love is mountain biking and have been riding & racing for 12 years. I

also love hiking, backpacking, camping, four-wheeling in my FJ,

mountaineering, skiing, swimming, and paddle boarding.

Nutrition paired with exercise is an essential component of health and

wellness. I believe the optimal balance of strength training and

cardiovascular fitness is the best investment for our body's longevity

and functionality.
